Live music gave him inspiration and he penned and produced a number of record releases in the early years as well as being a member of a chart topping group. As Steve’s interest in music dominated his life more, he decided to set up a recording studio which gave him the opportunity to get fully involved in music production. He started producing adverts for local radio before moving eventually into production music. This was always alongside gigging the length and breadth of the UK and through parts of Europe.

It was while he was involved in radio production that Steve became involved in producing hour-long radio programmes for local radio where he interviewed many artists past and present, these were broadcast through various BBC radio stations across England. He said he felt privileged to interview people such as Roy Wood (Move and Wizard), Glen Campbell, Lonnie Donegan and many more, he was also part of a video production team who filmed and interviewed Boy George and Culture Club at the Albert Hall.

It was whilst writing for a successful music production company that Steve was encouraged to set up his own company, this was the start of Mediatracks. He was fortunate in having a number of talented friends in the music industry who became the first writers and composers for Mediatracks. Steve developed the library with a body of prolific writers who have stayed with the company throughout the years. He always encouraged writers old and new and never undervalued the skills and talents of these musicians - who were the backbone of MediaTracks.

He would be so proud that MediaTracks continues to produce high quality music and play a part in the international music.
