Empowering Artistic Dreams: The Transformative Partnership between IPO and MediaTracks

MT Minnies is dedicated to providing a seamless and convenient experience for children's TV and film production companies. The label will not only showcase new albums tailored specifically for young audiences but will also feature a selection of previously published albums that align with the MT Minnies brand.

With the launch of MT Minnies, MediaTracks continues to support and promote their existing album labels (MT Heritage, MT World, MT Records, MT Vocal and MT Electronic). Albums will continue to be released under these five main labels (depending on their genre) but will also have the possibility to be included in the MT Minnies category as well. This strategic decision ensures that MediaTracks' diverse range of music reaches a wider audience, catering to diverse musical audiences within the world of children's entertainment.

Clients can effortlessly discover MT Minnies albums through MediaTracks' user-friendly platform and advanced search engine by filtering albums labelled as MT Minnies (these albums will also include the MT Minnies sticker on their cover). The MT Minnies collection is also available on MediaTracks' DISCO library, offering a comprehensive resource for high-quality children's music to music supervisors and editors.

In addition to the upcoming albums, MediaTracks is excited to include a selection of previously released albums in this category. These albums have been chosen for their ability to resonate with children and will be a valuable addition to the label's collection.

Introducing MT Minnies

Founded in 1996 by Steve Johnson, a prominent composer and performer, MediaTracks has always sought to provide high-quality music for the worldwide broadcast industries. Steve grew the MediaTracks family by bringing on other composers and working alongside his wife, Wendy, to build a diverse catalogue of music tracks.

In MediaTracks we are committed to young talent, which is why we have built an apprenticeship programme designed to find, foster and develop musicians, in order to prepare the next generation of diverse composers for success. We do this while focusing on giving a voice to underrepresented minorities within the music industry.

New Partnership: MediaTracks Music and Kycker


We are thrilled to announce our newest partnership with a brilliant, unique, and exciting platform: Kycker. This partnership will allow us to: increase our distribution rates to all major platforms (sending around 10-15 albums per month!); have joint publicity efforts for these album launches; have a quick and efficient route to market; and have access to a detailed and complete analytics system that will facilitate finding the right audiences for our composers and tracks, among other benefits.

This also opens a world of opportunities to all Kycker artists and composers, who might be interested in the production music industry. We are talking especially about younger artists, who will be able to benefit from our growth and development programs such as the MT Apprentice Scheme. In MediaTracks we believe in the power of collaboration as a tool for building an inclusive and fairer music industry, and we could not be happier of welcoming Kycker on this journey.

Kycker is excited to partner with MediaTracks as we see this as a great opportunity, not only for our own clients but also to offer new opportunities to MediaTracks composers.

Leeds Conservatoire has a national and international reputation for creativity and innovation, and for being a truly contemporary specialist teaching institution. Its staff and industry partners are at the cutting edge of their creative disciplines, and its students are encouraged and supported to explore their individual artistic identities in an environment that is rich in diversity and free of aesthetic and stylistic limitations.

In line with the conservatoire’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, MediaTracks is committed to developing diverse talent through its collaborations and mentoring schemes, and seeks to promote music and artists currently underrepresented in the music industry.

To kickstart the partnership, Leeds Conservatoire and MediaTracks hosted the first Library Music Writing Camp at the conservatoire on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 October. This practical, two-day event was open to current students across all courses at the conservatoire and recent graduates. Attendees explored the skills required to succeed in this growing part of the music industry, and put these skills to the test in collaborative writing sessions. Mentors provided input and support throughout the writing sessions, and as the camp drew to a close attendees were invited to share their works in progress and reflect on their experience.
