After studying saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Mark embarked on a career as a freelance session musician for TV and film, however he eventually decided to shift his focus towards composition. Credits to his name include music for the award-winning West End play Singular Women, the French documentary Sans Retour, and the film Chasing Chekhov (for the latter he won the LA BAFTA for Best Short Film in 2008). In addition, Mark has also composed music for big brand advertising campaigns including for Harpic Power Plus.

Jeff Lardner is also from the performance world and is one of the most sought-after drummers in the UK. He’s played, recorded and toured with legends including Van Morrison, Kylie Minogue, Bobby Womack, Mark Knopfler, and toured with orchestras such as BBC Big Band, Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Bert Kaempfert Orchestra, Back To Basie Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. He’s also occupied prestigious West End residences such as Guys & Dolls and Dancing in the Street, performed on the BBC television show Strictly Come Dancing and recorded the soundtrack for the cult film, Le Weekend.

Mark and Jeff not only enjoy writing music in many different styles, they truly excel at it, therefore the variety of projects that the production music industry offers them is a match made in heaven. They’re able to create hypnotic soundscapes that go hand in hand with any media they accompany, and unfailingly make the moment memorable every time.

After forming GoGo Tracks, together Mark and Jeff have written for many successful campaigns for British Vogue, Range Rover and the BBC Radio US 2020 election coverage. They will score their first feature film later this year entitled My Only Relative, directed by Paul Bibb.
