Victoria Wijeratne is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work fuses experimental sound design with film and TV scoring. Blending ambient soundscapes, orchestral elements, and modern electronic textures, her music explores themes of identity, nature, and personal transformation, creating emotionally resonant and forward-thinking compositions.

Victoria Wijeratne (She/her)
Her career began in London, where she won Best Composer at the Underwire Film Festival in 2011 for First Bite. This led to scoring The Liability in 2012 and a series of acclaimed projects including Hong Kong Rooftop Rebels for Al Jazeera and BAFTA-nominated I Choose. Support from Help Musicians UK’s Emerging Excellence Fund enabled a key collaboration with the Bergersen String Quartet, further shaping her evolving creative voice as a Queer, South Asian multidisciplinary artist.
Victoria is drawn to production music for its balance of creativity and collaboration, the opportunity to experiment with sound while enhancing narrative and serving a clear creative vision. This flexibility allows her to remain true to her artistic identity while responding to the needs of each project.
She was drawn to MediaTracks for its commitment to high-quality, innovative music and its inclusive ethos. Participating in the MediaTracks LGBTQ+ writing camp deepened her connection to the community and reinforced her alignment with the company’s forward-thinking approach.
