Hans Hess is a composer whose work blends orchestral writing with electronic elements, sound design, and ambient textures. Drawing on a background in classical guitar, his music focuses on emotional and psychological impact, with a strong interest in genre hybridisation. Each score is shaped carefully to suit the specific needs and narrative of the project.

Hans Hess (he/him)
Hans’s musical journey began with the recorder, before the influence of his brothers’ heavy metal tastes sparked a passion for guitar-driven music. Starting on electric guitar, he later discovered classical guitar and was inspired by composers such as Leo Brouwer and Brazilian classical traditions. This fusion of influences helped form a distinctive compositional voice. His move into production music grew organically through collaborations with labels, developing into long-term creative partnerships across a range of projects.
What Hans values most about production music is the freedom it offers working remotely, exploring diverse briefs, and continually refining both compositional and production skills.
