MediaTracks Announces Leadership Transition: Celebrating Maria Angel and Welcoming Jo Belcher

After four impactful years at MediaTracks Music, we announce that Maria Angel will be leaving the company at the end of this month to pursue her next professional challenge.

During her time with MediaTracks, Maria has been a driving force behind our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, helping to shape both our internal culture and our wider industry engagement. She has been instrumental in championing underrepresented voices, ensuring that inclusivity is not simply an aspiration but a practical, embedded part of how we operate as a production music company.

Maria Angel

Maria has led and delivered numerous initiatives during her tenure, including the establishment and delivery of composer writing camps, workshops and educational programmes designed to remove barriers to entry and support emerging and marginalised talent. Most notably, Pride in Sync — an initiative that has become a defining part of MediaTracks’ EDI identity - has been very much Maria’s vision and passion, growing into a respected platform that supports LGBTQIA+ composers and creatives working in music for media.

Alongside her strategic and advocacy work, Maria has been an exceptional colleague: diligent, thoughtful and deeply committed to fairness for all. As a highly skilled singer, with a keen ear for detail, she has made a significant contribution to our creative output, further strengthened by her background and expertise in audio engineering, which has been of real value across our catalogue and production processes.

We are immensely grateful for Maria’s contribution to MediaTracks and the wider production music community, and we wish her every success as she embarks on her next chapter.

Jo Belcher

Jo Belcher

As we look ahead, we are delighted to welcome Jo Belcher to MediaTracks as our new Business Development Manager and EDI Lead.

Jo brings with her over 20 years’ experience in the production music industry, most notably through her long-standing role at Audio Network, where she played a key part in helping to grow the company from a small, ambitious business into one of the world’s leading production music organisations. Her background as a project manager and producer has given her a comprehensive understanding of the creative, commercial and operational elements of production music, from composer relations and catalogue development through to global client partnerships.

Commenting on her appointment, Jo Belcher said: “MediaTracks has built a reputation for creative integrity, collaboration and genuine commitment to inclusion, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team at such an exciting point in its journey. I’m particularly looking forward to building on the strong foundations already in place - strengthening relationships with clients, supporting composers , and ensuring that EDI continues to be central to how we grow as a business.”

William Saunders, Creative Director of MediaTracks, added: “Maria has left an extraordinary legacy at MediaTracks. Her values and passion have helped shaped who we are as a company, and we owe her a great deal. At the same time, I’m hugely excited to welcome Jo to the team. Her depth of industry experience, strategic insight and shared belief in the importance of representation and fairness make her an outstanding fit for MediaTracks as we move into our next phase.”

We look forward to this new chapter while celebrating the lasting impact of the people who help shape our story.
